Remote Tuning

Remote Tuning Requirements
  1. MPVI Device:
The MPVI device is necessary for reading and flashing tune files, as well as logging data from your vehicle. For more information, visit MPVI3.
  2. Wideband Sensor:
A wideband sensor is required for forced induction vehicles and optional for most naturally aspirated vehicles. It is essential for accurately measuring the air-fuel ratio (AFR) in exhaust gases under various conditions. Unlike narrowband sensors (commonly used in most GM vehicles), which can only indicate whether the AFR is richer or leaner than the ideal stoichiometric ratio, a wideband sensor provides more precise AFR readings. This is especially important in high-performance applications. A recommended option is the AEM Electronics Wideband Sensor.
  3. Laptop:
A laptop with Windows 10 or a newer operating system is required for the tuning process.
Reading vehicle calibration file using HP tuners
  1. Go to HP tuners website and download the VCM Suite BETA along with .NET desktop runtime
  2. Connect the MPVI to your laptop and connect the MPVI to the car.
  3. Open VCM Editor (HPtuners download VCM Editor & Scanner)
  4. Once VCM Editor is open turn the ignition on by holding the push/start button for roughly 8-10 seconds until the dash lights come on DO NOT START THE ENGINE. At the top you will see a Green Up arrow on a chip "Read Vehicle" Pull the read calibration and save it to the desktop.
Remote Tuning Fees
  • Naturally Aspirated: $600 (Non-refundable once the first tune file is sent).
  • Forced Induction/Nitrous: $700 (Non-refundable once the first tune file is sent).

All tunes include 91-E85 tuning, engine, and transmission (if TCM is unlocked).

Canned fuel by request C85/M1/M5/Nitro blends

Retune Policy:

  • Retunes are free for any added non internal or FI modifications.
  • Internal modifications or forced induction will incur an additional $100 fee for retunes.
