Tuning Help

Flashing a tune file using HP Tuners involves several steps to ensure that the process is done correctly and safely.

Failure to follow this guide can result in a delayed tuning process

All vehicles using HPtuners software will require credits to license their vehicle for tuning. Credits can be loaded onto the MPVI device during the purchase of device or will be prompt to Purchase or Apply credits when flashing a tune file (These credits will only need to be purchased once per vehicle)

Refer to HPtuners supported vehicle list to know how many credits your vehicle will require or it will prompt how many credits are required when flashing tune file.

Wideband sensor: A Wideband sensor measures the air-fuel ratio (AFR) in the exhaust gases over a wide range of conditions. Unlike narrowband oxygen sensors (which most GM vehicles we offer tuning for have), which can only indicate whether the AFR is richer or leaner than the stoichiometric point using narrow band sensors is not the best way to determine AFR in high performance applications this is why we require a wideband sensor.

Recommended wideband sensor: AEM 30-0334 X-Series
